31) Holy Relics of Saint Teklehaimanot

 رفات القديس تكلا هيمانوت

 

We reached the Monastery in less that two hours, and the Holy Liturgy was just finished, and worshipers were getting out of Church..  The church was demolished and rebuilt many times, and the current was built during the time of Emperor Hail Selassy.  You can see on the walls of the church stained glass for various Holy Bible scenes..

وصلنا إلى الدير بعد أقل من الساعتين، وكان القداس قد انتهى، وجموع المصلين يخرجون من الكنيسة..  الكنيسة هدمت وتم بناءها عدة مرات، والكنيسة الحالية من عهد الإمبراطور هيلاسلاسي.  وفوق أبواب الكنيسة الخارجية يوجد بعض لوحات الموزاييك الحائطية، وفي الداخل يوجد بعض صور الزجاج المعشق لبعض أحداث الكتاب المقدس..

The Holy relics of St. Teklahaymanot are under the church in the middle, it is the place that the Holy body of the saint was buried..  Above the burial place there is a carved wooded picture of Saint Teklehaimnout.  There are some nice icons on the walls of the church, and I was held back from entering the Holy Altar, as only priests and Bishops enter.  Then one of the Fathers started telling us about the history of the Monastery, and explaining some icons..

جسد القديس الأنبا تكلا هيمانوت موجود أسفل الكنيسة في الوسط، وهو المكان الذي تم دفن الجسد فيه بعد النياحة..  وفوق مكان الجسد يوجد صورة الأنبا تكلا بنحت خشبي.  وتوجد بعض الأيقونات الجميلة على حوائط الكنيسة، وتم منعي من دخول الهيكل، حيث يدخله الكهنة والأساقفة فقط.  ثم قام أحد الآباء بشرح تاريخ الدير لنا، مع بعض الصور..
