98) Moving the Holy Relics of Saints and their Celebrations in the Orthodox Church

 حول الاحتفال بذكرى أعياد نقل أجساد القديسين

 

It is a bit odd that we have festivals in the commemorations of moving the relics of a saint from one place to another..  But we don't have that feast for Saint Teklahimanout..  There are many saints that we celebrate such day for them..  Why don't we celebrate it for St. Teklahaimanot?!

الغريب أننا نحتفل بعيد ذكرى نقل جسد القديس من مكان لآخر..  ولكننا لا نحتفل بهذا العيد للقديس تكلاهيمانوت..  هناك عشرات القديسين الذين نحتفل بهذا العيد لهم..  فلماذا لا نحتفل بهذا العيد للأنبا تكلاهيمانوت؟! 

Of which the saints we have such commemoration for them are: St. Mercorious - St. George - St. John Chrysostom - The Resurrected St. Lazarus - St. Bishoy - St. Theodor of Shatb..  etc..

من القديسين الذين نحتفل بهذا التذكار لهم: القديس فيلوباتير مرقوريوس – مارجرجس – يوحنا ذهبي الفم – لعازر المُقام – الأنبا بيشوي – الأمير تادرس الشطبي.. إلخ..

As we indicated before on the page of the History of the Monastery of Debre Libanous that was established by Saint Taklahimanout, after the death of the Saint, His body was buried in the Cave that He used to pray at for the last 29 years of His life (Asybu Cave), and after 57 years His Holy Relics were moved to the Church that was named after Him in His Monastery of Dabra Lebanus..  That is the celebration, the Ethiopians celebrate it every year, and come in 100s of thousands to His Monasteries and Churches from all over Ethiopia, especially the Monastery of Debre Libanos; the original burial place of His Holy Relics, and it is the place that has witnessed that historical event, and the miracles that have happened on that day..

وكما أوضحنا سابقاً في صفحة تاريخ دير ديبرا ليبانوس الذي أسسه القديس تكلا هيمانوت، بعد نياحة القديس تم دفن جسده في المغارة التي كان يصلي بها آخر 29 سنة من حياته (مغارة أسي بو)، وبعد 57 عاماً نُقِلَ جسده إلى الكنيسة المُسماة باسمه في ديره دير ديبرا ليبانوس..  وهذا هو الاحتفال، ويحتفل به الأحباش كل عام، ويأتون بمئات الآلاف إلى أديرته وكنائسه من كل أنحاء إثيوبيا، وخاصة إلى دير ديبرا ليبانوس؛ حيث هو المكان الأصلي لدفن جسده الطاهر، وهو الذي شهد هذه الحادثة التاريخية، والمعجزات التي حدثت في ذلك اليوم..
