Of which the places I went to today was the Ethiopian Tourists Information Center in Maskal Square in Addis Ababa, and I chatted with a nice lady for a while, I took some of the tourist pamphlets about Ethiopia, and the places I intend to visit..  She told me that I didn’t need to make any reservations with any travel agencies, instead, I could find many tour guides and travel agencies around the Airport at the places I would visit God willing.  She told me also that there was no need for the anti-Malaria tablets, as that was not the season, but I’ll continue taking it either ways..

من ضمن الأماكن التي ذهبت لها اليوم كان مكتب معلومات السائحين في ميدان "ماسكال" في أديس أبابا، وكانت هناك سيدة لطيفة تحدثت معها كثيراً، وأخذت بعض الكتيبات السياحية عن إثيوبيا، والأماكن التي أنوي زيارتها..  وأخبرتني بأنه لا داعي لأن أقوم بأي حجوزات مع شركات سياحية، فبمجرد وصولي إلى المطار إن شاء الله، هناك الكثير من المرشدين السياحيين والشركات السياحية في كل هذه المناطق..  وأخبرتني أيضاً أنه لا داعي لحبوب ضد الملاريا، حيث أن هذا ليس هو موسم انتشار المرض..  ولكني سأكمل الكورس على أي حال.. 

 

 

She was so surprised when I told her that there was a Church after St. Takla Himanot the Ethiopian in Egypt (mainly all Ethiopians get astonished when we tell them about a Coptic Church in Egypt by the name of this great Ethiopian Saint).  And she said how come?  He is Amharic?!  I told her also there is more than one church by His name in Egypt..  I mentioned the story of bringing the part of the Holy Relics of Him by the Ethiopian monks that used to live in the Coptic Monasteries in Egypt..

واندهشت كثيراً عندما أخبرتها عن كنيسة باسم القديس تكلاهيمانوت الحبشي في مصر (تقريباً كل الأحباش كذلك يندهشون عندما نخبرهم عن كنيسة قبطية في مصر باسم هذا القديس الحبشي العظيم)، وقالت أنه قديس أمهري..  كيف هذا؟!  فأخبرتها أنه يوجد أيضاً أكثر من كنيسة باسمه في مصر..  وقصصت عليها قصة إحضار جزء من جسد الأنبا تكلا إلى مصر عن طريق الرهبان الأحباش الذين كانوا يعيشون في الأديرة القبطية في مصر..
