62) The URL of St-Takla.org is wrong!!

 !!عنوان موقع سانت تكلا دوت أورج خطأ

 

One of those working in the Ethiopian Theological College first brought this to our attention, then it was followed by more than similar opinion from Ethiopians..  That the URL or the Internet address of the website is not correct!!

لفت نظرنا أولاً أحد العاملين في الكلية اللاهوتية الحبشية إلى هذا الأمر، ثم لحقه أكثر من رأي مشابه من أحباش..  أن عنوان URL الموقع غير سليم!!

It goes like this: That the word "Takla" in the Ethiopian language means "plant", and "Haimanout" means "The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit" or the "Trinity"..  So the name "Taklahaimanout" is a composed name meaning "The plant of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit"..  So when we say "Takle" in the Ethiopian language, we say "plant"!  Nothing more..  And there are some names like "Takla Mariam" or "Takla Borhan" (The plant of the light)..  etc.

والأمر ببساطة أن كلمة "تكلا" في اللغة الحبشية تعني "زرع" و"هيمانوت" تعني"الآب والابن والروح القدس" أو الثالوث..  فاسم تكلاهيمانوت هو اسم مركب يعني "زرع الآب والابن والروح القدس"..  لذا فعندما نقول تكلا فقط في اللغة الحبشية نعني زرع!  ليس إلا..  وتوجد بعض أسماء أخرى مثل "تكلا مريم" أو "تكلا برهان" (أي زرع النور)..  إلخ.

 

 

I told him: You are right..  But.. 

فقلت له: الحق معك، ولكن..

In Egypt, the name "Takla" is not not translated to Arabic..  It is for us a name and not a word..  At the same time we don't have more than one Takla..  It is only Saint Takla Haimanot..

في مصر اسم "تكلا" غير مترجم باللغة العربية..  وهو اسم بالنسبة لنا وليس كلمة..  وفي نفس الوقت لا يوجد أكثر من تكلا عندنا..  هو القديس تكلا هيمانوت فقط.. 

Same like Ethiopians when they want to abbreviate the name..  They say "Taklie"..  In Egypt when we say Saint Takla, we mean no one else other than Anba Taklahimanout..

الأمر مثل الأحباش عندما يريدون اختصار الاسم..  يقولون "تكلييِّ" Taklie..  ففي مصر عندما نقول الأنبا تكلا، نعني الأنبا تكلا هيمانوت فقط لا غير..

Anyway, we won't be better than Google.com!  It is not correct either!!!

وعلى أي الأحوال، لن نكون أفضل من موقع جوجل دوت كوم!  فهو أيضاً غير سليم!!!

 

When Larry Page and his friend Sergey Brin started the website, they chose the name "Google", meaning the word that means "very large number" which is one followed by 100 zeros..!  i. e. the number of search results when searching the Internet..  After they started, they told their friend Lucas Pereira about the website..  Her reply was: Oh..  You idiots, the word should be "Googol" and not "Google"!!  You spelled it wrong!!  :)

فعندما بدأ الموقع "لاري بيج" وصديقه "سيرجي برين"، اختاروا اسم جوجل، قاصدين من هذا الأمر كلمة "جوجل" التي تعني عدد ضخم جداً، وهو واحد بعده 100 صفر..  أي عدد النتائج التي تظهر من البحث في الإنترنت..  وبعدما بدأوا، أخبروا صديقتهم لوكاس بيرييرا عن الموقع..  كان ردها: أوه..  أيها الحمقى، كلمة جوجل تُكتَب Googol وليس Google!!  لقد أخطأتم التهجئة!!  :)
