63) Saint Yared Church and the permission

I went this morning to St. Yared Church in Lancia, the area I am staying at, and I presented the permission I have..  Some calls here, giving the document from one to another, the last person told me: OK..  And he gave me the document to continue his work..  When I asked him who will open the gates of the church to me?  He was surprised and said: “Now?!”  I smiled and said: Of course now, why did I come now then?!  He went to look for someone, who accompanied me to the gate of the church, and he pointed to the building so I take the pictures..  I didn’t take any and told him that I want to get inside the church, open it please..  After long talks, I discovered that the one in charge of keeping the key of the church was not there, and I tried to explain to them that how come there is only one person that holds the keys of the church?  And what if anything unexpected happened inside the church?!  And what is the use of the permission if I can’t use it at the time of my arrival?!  Do I have to go to each place at the exact time that the one in charge who has the only key might be available?!  Funny and frustrating!

 

 

ذهبت صباحاً إلى كنيسة القديس يارد في منطقة لانشا التي أقيم بها، وقمت بتقديم التصريح، وما بين مكالمات وتسليم الورقة من مسئول لآخر، قال لي الأخير..  حسناً..  وأعطاني الورقة وأكمل عمله..  فسألته حول مَنْ يأتي معي لفتح الكنيسة..  فقال لي باندهاش: "الآن؟!"  فابتسمت وقلت له: بالطبع الآن، فما الذي جاء بي الآن؟!  فبحث عن أحدهم، الذي رافقني إلى باب الكنيسة، ثم أشار إلى المبنى لأقوم بأخذ الصور..  فلم آخذ أي صور وأخبرته أنني أريد دخول الكنيسة، قم بفتحها من فضلك..  وبعد مناقشات كثيرة، اكتشفت أن المسئول الذي يحتفظ بمفتاح الكنيسة غير موجود، وحاولت أن أخبرهم كيف يوجد مسئول واحد معه المفتاح، وماذا يحدث إذا حدث أي طارئ داخل مبنى الكنيسة؟!  وما قيمة التصريح إذا لم أستطع الاستفادة به وقت حضوري؟!  هل كل مكان أذهب إليه يجب أن أذهب في الموعد الذي (قد) يكون المسئول الذي معه نسخة المفتاح الوحيدة موجود؟!  أمر غريب ومُحبِط!
