The festival started at the day before  ابتدأ الاحتفال في اليوم السابق   They were chanting  كانوا يرنمون     And praying  و يصلون   Asking the blessings of St. Takla himanout  ويطلبون بركات القديس تكلا هيمانوت   Giving sermons  إلقاء العظات   Rain stopped and the sun rose again  توقف المطر واشرقت الشمس مرة أخرى   Lifting their hearts to the lord on the day of the feast of our beloved Saint  رفع قلوبهم أمام الله في عيد قديسنا المحبوب       People came to the Monastery from all over Ethiopia  الجموع حضرت إلى الدير من كل أنحاء إثيوبيا   And entire villages attended the festive  وقرى بأكملها حضرت الاحتفالية   The whole area and villages around the monastery are mostly Christians  المنطقة المحيطة بالدير و القرى المجاورة كلها تقريباً مسيحية
