87) Volcanic Rocks!!

I stopped walking, and started looking at the nature around..  Making use of the place and enjoying it..  It was more than beautiful..  I was very near a small stream, I followed it to its end, to find a small waterfall going down the mountain..  The rocks in its bed and around it looked like black Volcanic Rocks..  There were some fish in the water too..  I noticed that I was totally alone in that area, and remembered Robert Frost’s poem saying: Two roads diverged in a yellow wood..  I took the one less trodden by”!  I spend about half an hour there, then noticed some birds like falcons and crows, I headed closer, and stayed for a long time watching birds, found their nests, and noticed that these falcons are chasing crows..!  When I got closer, I noticed that one of the falcons flying close above me, seemed I was getting closer to his nest, or he was thinking of me as a possible meal!!

فتوقفت عن السير، وبدأت أنظر الطبيعة من حولي..  وأستفيد من المكان وأستمتع به..  وكان مكاناً أكثر من رائع..  وكنت قد وصلت حينئذ إلى نُهيِّر صغير، فبدأت أتتبع نهايته، لأجدها عبارة عن شلال صغير فوق هذا الجبل..  وكانت الصخور الموجودة في النهر وحوله يبدو أنها صخور بركانية سوداء..  وكانت هناك بعض الأسماك أيضاً في الماء..  ولاحَظت أنني وحدي في ذلك المكان، وتذكرت قصيدة الشاعر روبرت فروست التي تبدأ بـ: "رأيت طريقان منفصلان في غابة.. وأخذت طريقاً مختلفاً عن الآخرين"!  قضيت حوالي نصف الساعة في المكان، لألحظ بعدها بعض الطيور من غربان وصقور، فذهبت ناحيتها، وجلست فترة طويلة أراقب الطيور، ووجدت أعشاشها، ولاحَظت أيضاً أن الصقور تطارد الغربان..!  وعندما اقتربت أكثر من المكان، انتبهت لأحد الصقور يطير فوقي بمسافة بسيطة، فيبدو أنني كنت قريب من عش له، أو كان يدرس فيَّ وجبة محتملة!!

 

Zoom in to the Church built by Emperor Haile Selassie  ززوم للكنيسة التي بناها الإمبراطور هيلاسلاسي   A bird  طائر   Thorn trees..  The thorns at their beginning were leaves that turned to thorns, mainly to save the water vapor that is taken from the leaves أشجار الشوك..  الشوك كان في بدايته ورق ولكنه تحور إلى شوك، خاصة لتوفير تبخر الماء من الأوراق     Volcanic rocks?!  !صخور بركانية؟   Another mountain on top of the mountain!  !جبل فوق الجبل   Taking a shade under a tree  الاستظلال تحت شجرة   Artistic shot!  !لقطة فنية     Zoom out!  !ززوم للخلف   The road never seemed to end!  !بدا الطريق وكأنه لا ينتهي   Passing the river  عبور النهر
